Manages employees with direct patient care in Bigfork Valley Communities, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and revised as necessary, providing training opportunities, resolving issues and making sure that established standards of resident care are met. Ensure department’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assumes additional duties in the absence of the nursing home administrator. Has a good understanding of the financial aspects of a nursing home. Exhibits good clinical and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully lead nursing staff in providing excellent patient care.
Fifth year college or university program certificate preferred. Two to four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered to practice nursing in Minnesota. Certification in gerontological nursing or related nursing field preferred. Must be able to participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and to further develop professional skills as required.
